I was so excited this week because I found a skein of yarn that I forgot I had bought before we moved! It’s a lace weight Madelinetosh in a gorgeous shade called Button Jar Blue. The color makes me so happy, and it looks just like a color my sister would love. So I decided to make a simple scarf for her for Christmas. It’s a perfect weight for a warm climate.
The scarf is a simple feather and fan pattern, which is perfect for some mindless knitting. I usually knit when I’m helping my daughter with her math lessons (so I keep patient!), so it’s best to keep it simple so I don’t make mistakes. Teaching long division and a complicated pattern is too much for my brain!
I haven’t been reading much this week. Everyone except my youngest has had a touch of a stomach bug, so we’ve been trying to rest and nurture ourselves back to health.
Linking with Ginny.
