Lessons in Colorwork

I’ve always wanted to try colorwork, but never have. So I figured the little bit on the Kiss Me Romper would be the perfect starting point, and so far, I’ve learned two things. First, don’t choose colors that are too similar because they blend together. Second, don’t choose two colors that have lots of variety in them because, well, they take away from the colorwork pattern. This is pretty common sense, I suppose, but I wanted something subtle for the baby – so subtle is what I got šŸ™‚ Well, in any case, it’s a good lesson and a good start. The colors are gorgeous and I’ve wanted to use Celadon for a baby project for quite a while. It will be a cute little outfit when it is finished.
