Two Sweaters In Progress – Drake and Baby Sophisticate

I’ve been working on the Drake sweater pattern as a Christmas gift for my husband. The sleeves are finished, and now I’m working on the body of the sweater. The benefit to knitting plain stockinette on an adult-sized sweater is that it’s easy to pick up and knit whenever I get a free moment. The drawback is that it takes so much longer than all the baby knits on which I’ve been working! But it’s coming along, and in the meantime, I’ve started on a new baby knit for my friend who is expecting a baby boy.

It’s the Baby Sophisticate pattern in the Madtosh colorway Kale. The yarn is an interesting blend of colors and it’s definitely growing on me. I plan on using simple wood buttons which will look adorable.

  1. As always, I just adore the colorways for both projects! I am jealous that your husband will let you knit for him. My husband doesn’t like sweaters 😦 I *might* negotiate a hat one of these days though.
