Thank you so much for your kind words about the Drake sweater. They have meant so much to me in my slightly emotional and sleep deprived state! 🙂
On that note, I have to say that I have been so thankful for the craft of knitting lately. I’ve been in a lot of discomfort (vs. pain!) lately, and needing to rest a little more. Knitting has helped take my mind off all the aches and pains, and helped me to relax. – I need to add that I’m not usually into relaxing, taking it easy – I love to be busy and so this has been a bit of a challenge for me. But more down time means more projects I’ve started!
Stitch Block Cowl: This is a really fun project from Purl Soho, using a fun and simple stitch technique. I used six different colors from my stash, and added seven buttons to join the cowl so it can be worn either as a scarf or twisted into a cowl.
Little Ancolie Cardigan: I started this for my eldest daughter, for her birthday in a couple of months. I’m using the recommended yarn, Madelinetosh Pashmina in Nectar, and I’m in love!! This is one of the most beautiful yarns and colorways I’ve ever used. This is going to be a work in progress for a while.
Milo Bambino and Tiny Pants: I used a colorway that I had wanted for quite a while, Tosh DK in Dachshund – a beautiful mix of brown, golden amber, with a splash of lilac. I mixed it with Cathedral in lace weight doubled up. They complemented each other perfectly, and I love these two colorways even more than when I started, if that’s possible! The cable used on the Milo is a subtle and sweet heart.
Don’t Skid, Honey Fingerless Gloves: These are for my dad for Christmas. I used Tosh Vintage in Mare, and paired with this pattern, they will make a great cold-weather gift.
